I dont often write reviews, but felt this one is necessary. I had THE BEST experience with Bomarc Self Storage in Hampden, ME. From the first phone call to get a quote, Patti was so nice, helpful, pleasant, and personable. I needed the storage ASAP and we were able to make it happen. Then when I got to the facility, I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the grounds were, and loved the fact there was a gate with 24/7 access. I will say there was supposed to be a lock inside my unit, which wasnt there, but I called Patti (on a weekend day) and she had the manager there with a brand new lock within 15 mins, we weren't even half unpacked yet! It was a great experience dealing with both members of the team. Great facility, great crew, and super conveniently located! Highly recommend!

Bomarc Storage units. Very nice facility in Hampden. Fully gated with passcode entrance and exit. I don’t hate that it says my name on the keypad after I punch in my number. Nice touch! I’d have to say that the drainage is very effective so no worries about damage to items in the units. In the winter I’ve never had any issues except maybe having to shovel directly in front of my door to get in but it’s always plowed nicely. The online payment method is super simple also.

Initially my intent was a short term storage solution for some of my furniture that didn’t fit in the moving truck when I relocated to the south. It’s now a few years later and I have to say that Bomarc Storage has been extremely helpful. One winter a plow truck damaged the door to my unit; and they very kindly transferred all of my belongings into a new unit since I am out of state and was unable to be there to take care of it myself. They are very good at communication with their customers whether it be via email, texts or phone calls if necessary. I’m happy with the security system that they have in place, and can highly recommend them. If you have storage needs whether for short term or long term; do yourself a favor and call Bomarc Storage. After I signed my paperwork, I noticed Bomarc was offering a promotion for the first month. I have been renting a unit from A1 for 3 years now! I have never had a problem! When I was searching for storage units I found A1 to be the most reasonable as well as very accommodating. I live in Florida now and I can tell you that A1 is still hands down the best storage business I have ever dealt with! I recently needed another unit in Maine for some things my son needed to store! One call from Florida to Hampden, Maine and Paul took quick care of the whole process! The next day after I talked to Paul my son was moving stuff in! This is a very well run company!!!

Over the past several years I have rented a storage unit a couple different times with A-1 and I can definitely say everything exceeded my expectations. I was a little leery with renting a storage unit in the first place because of the horror stories Ive heard about other storage unit businesses. After much research I came across A-1 Safe Storage. I was blown away with the professionalism of Paul and their willingness to go above and beyond to help out the customer. He was extremely helpful with fitting me with a unit that suited my needs. Their facility is also a step above all the rest. The units are clean and well taken care of as are the grounds. To top it all off there is a security access gate to give you piece of mind. I had an awesome experience with Paul at A-1. I was in desperate need of a storage unit (never had to have one before) and Paul was very kind and understanding as well being patient with someone that had no idea what to do. He's fair and thoughtful and willing to work with you. I would recommend his facility to anyone that needs storage. Just talk to him...he's very helpful. Always accessible-easy to get to and in-as well as excellent security at the property. I felt safe that my belongings were going to be ok.

Very convenient. Always accessible. I was looking for a place that I felt safe storing my car, because it had been my dad's and it is very sentimental as he passed away last year. I had never needed a storage facility before, but Paul made it very easy. I was glad I chose A1. I had no anxiety this winter storing it there. Very secure and well lit. Unit stayed dry. I would highly recommend A1 safe storage!!!

This winter I had leased a 5x10 to store some things. If you're looking for a storage solution in the Bangor area, I highly recommend A1. The whole complex is paved and well lit; there is even a cool mechanical gate. Through the winter my unit was always easily accessible. The location, right off of 295, is the best. It's also under the path planes take to land at BGR airport AND right next to a railroad track so you can watch those - awesome!
